Bear Paw Roundup Scholarship

In 2025, our community lost a tremendous friend and fierce supporter – Trapper Skoyen. Trapper was not only our Vice President and a rodeo committee director, he was family. He put his heart and soul into every single thing he did, including our rodeo.
In his memory in 2026, we started the Bear Paw Roundup Scholarship in Memory of Trapper Skoyen. The purpose of the scholarship is to support students pursuing rodeo, agriculture, and/or the trades as a way of life, to contribute to their community.
This scholarship is for graduating seniors from Blaine, Phillips, Hill, or Chouteau counties who are pursuing an agriculture or trade degree and/or are participating in college rodeo.
- Applicant must be a graduating senior from Blaine, Phillips, Hill, or Chouteau county
- Applicant must be pursuing an agriculture or trade degree, and/or participating in college rodeo
- No GPA requirements
- Selected scholarship winners will be required to attend Family Night on August 6, 2026 of the Bear Paw Roundup rodeo
- Required attachments:
- A 500 word essay discussing your community involvement. How have you contributed to your community, and how do you plan to use your education to impact your community in the future?
- Unofficial High School Transcript
