JAN 23	Missoula Electric Cooperative Annual Scholarship Applicants or their parent/guardian must be a member of an electric cooperative and the cooperative must be a member of the Montana Electric Cooperatives' Association. Each fall, MEC members and/or their dependents can apply for one of twenty-two $1,500 scholarships. This encompasses twenty (20) general and vocational or trade scholarships scored on three criteria: scholastic achievement, future goals, and community involvement/school activities, and two (2) Line Scholarships for students who plan to attend an accredited Montana line school. JAN 23	Missoula Electric Cooperative Memorial Scholarship Four $500 scholarships will be awarded to members of the Missoula Electric Cooperative or another Montana Electric Cooperative. The annual Montana Electric Cooperatives’ Association (MECA) Memorial Scholarships are available to our members each fall. There are four $500 Memorial Scholarships available for students across Montana (one per state district). In order to apply, applicants or a parent/guardian, must be a member of MEC or another MECA electric cooperative. Please apply through your local electric cooperative. JAN 25	Alcohol Responsibility Matters Scholarship Five, one-time, $2,000 scholarships will be awarded to Montana high school or homeschool seniors attending a Montana post-secondary program in the fall. This is an opportunity for all Montana high school seniors who are willing to take the time to write a brief essay about what the “Alcohol Responsibility Matters” message means to them, including some original design ideas for a billboard. Students may draw something, create something in PowerPoint, etc., and then (if chosen), ABCD will take the design/idea and work with the billboard designers to create artwork based on the message idea essay. The billboard designers will help provide the correct resolution for the different sizes of billboards. JAN 31	Basin Electric Power Cooperative Scholarship A $1,000.00 scholarship is awarded to a student in Sheridan Electric Cooperative’s service area. JAN 31	Montana Youth Soccer Association Ralph Serette Montana High School Scholarship 20 $500 scholarships will be awarded to applicants who are soccer players or referees, and demonstrate the importance of soccer in their lives. MYSA will award the twenty scholarships to High School Seniors who have played soccer with a MYSA Member Club for a minimum of four (4) years or served as a Referee for a MYSA Member club for a minimum of three (3) years. Applicants must plan to attend a two- or four-year accredited college or university, or trade school, or be accepted into a post-secondary apprenticeship or training program. Applicants do not need to be accepted when applying for the scholarship, but do need the letter of acceptance if selected as a recipient. JAN 31	American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Undergraduate and Graduate Scholarships Multiple scholarships are open to currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate-level college students in science or engineering programs. The AIAA Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships Program offers scholarships to college sophomores, juniors, and seniors each year. Through its annual Graduate Awards Program, the AIAA Foundation presents awards to graduate students doing excellent research in the air and space sciences. JAN 31	Youth Serve Montana Scholarship A limited number of $1,500 scholarships are available to graduating seniors or home-schooled students with 100+ hours of community service in the past 12 months. The Youth Serve Montana Scholarship was created to promote volunteerism among high school students, encourage young leaders to further their learning, and provide tuition assistance for Montana students who wish to attend college in-state. Scholarship funds have been made available through support from Reach Higher Montana, a nonprofit dedicated to helping students pursue and fund post-secondary education; Montana Campus Network for Civic Engagement, whose mission is to educate students for civic responsibility; and the Governor’s Office of Community Service, a state agency tasked with expanding and promoting service in Montana. The Governor’s Office of Community Service administers the scholarships. JAN 31	Daughters of the American Revolution Scholarships DAR awards up to 26 scholarships annually to graduating high school seniors and returning college students. Each year the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) awards multiple scholarships to students showing dedication to the pursuit of higher education in diverse areas of study including history, economics, law, political science, medicine, nursing, occupational and physical therapy, elementary and secondary education, chemistry, math, science and English. DAR’s scholarships are awarded and judged without regard to gender, race, color, religion, national origin, or disability. Applicants must be citizens of the United States. Applicants must attend or plan to attend an accredited college or university in the United States. All multi-year scholarships, typically renewable up to four years, must be for consecutive years of attendance. Awards are based on academic excellence, commitment to the field of study, and/or financial need, or other restrictions on specific scholarships. FEB 01	National Garden Clubs Scholarship $4,000 scholarship open to college students with legal residence in Montana pursuing earth science or related fields of study. National Garden Club is proud of its scholarship program, which offers financial aid to students and promotes study in Agriculture Education, Horticulture (including Fruit Science/Environmental/Communications), Floriculture, Landscape Design, Botany, Biology, Plant Pathology/Science, Forestry, Agronomy, Environmental Concerns (Management: Environmental, Horticulture Resource/Environmental Behavior, etc.), Economics, Environmental Conservation (including Engineering, Law, etc.), City (Rural & Urban) planning, Wildlife Science, Habitat or Forest/Systems Ecology, Land Management and/or other related or allied subjects. FEB 01	Gianforte Trade and Technology Scholarship - Spring $1,500 Scholarship for full-time students and $750 for part-time students going into a trade/tech school. The Gianforte Trade and Technology Scholarship is $1,500 for full-time students and $750 for part-time students. FEB 01	Mid-Rivers Scholarships $126,000 in scholarship funds are open to students from Eastern and Central Montana. Mid-Rivers Communications is offering $126,000 in scholarship funds for Eastern and Central Montana students for the 2026-2027 School Year. Funded by unclaimed capital credits from patrons, the Mid-Rivers Fund for Education has awarded over $1 million to area students in the past. In 2026, Mid-Rivers will award 36 competitive and 15 drawing scholarships. Scholarship categories reflect the mission and values of the Cooperative and its members. This year’s scholarship program has three categories: Dawson Community College/Miles Community College Scholarship – In support of local educational institutions, up to six (6) $3,000 scholarships will be awarded to students attending Dawson Community College (DCC) or Miles Community College (MCC). Mid-Rivers Higher Education Scholarship – Thirty (30) $2,500 scholarships will be awarded to students pursuing or continuing their higher education at any other institution in technical, undergraduate, or graduate programs. Mid-Rivers Annual Meeting Drawing – Eighteen (15) $1,000 scholarships will be awarded through a drawing of eligible students in attendance at the Mid-Rivers Annual Meeting. FEB 02	Elks National Foundation Legacy Awards The Elks National Foundation will award three $4,000 scholarships to children and grandchildren of Elks members. The Elks National Foundation is awarding three $4,000 scholarships to children and grandchildren of Elks members. Eligibility: For the 2026 contest, any child or grandchild (or step-child, step-grandchild, or legal ward) of a living Elk who joined the Order on or before April 1, 2023, or a charter member of a Lodge that was instituted on or after April 1, 2023, is eligible to apply. The Elk must have paid Lodge dues for the last two contiguous years through March 31, 2026. Great-grandchildren are not eligible. The applicant must be a high school senior. The applicant must apply online only. The 2026 Legacy Awards application deadline is February 2, 2026, 11:59 a.m. Pacific Time. NOTE: This is NOON, mid-day, Pacific time. FEB 13	Jeannette Rankin National Scholar Grant Renewable scholarships of up to $2,500 for American women, 35 years or older. Continuing Jeannette Rankin’s commitment to creating better futures for American women, our Jeannette Rankin National Scholar Grant provides unrestricted non-tuition funding and support to women and nonbinary students across the country. FEB 13	Rankin Foundation Emerge Grant Grants up to $2,500 for women 25 years or older in Montana and Georgia pursuing higher education. Jeannette Rankin had strong geographical ties to both Montana and Georgia as the first female Congresswoman representing Montana and a long-time Georgia resident. From the sale of her Georgia estate, the Jeannette Rankin Foundation was formed in 1976. FEB 14	Cedric & Elfriede Maurer Memorial Scholarship (1) $3,000 scholarship for a 4-H member who shows dedication to 4-H and has a history of volunteering and community involvement. Purpose: The Cedric & Elfriede Maurer Memorial Scholarship was established by the Maurer family to honor their parents, Cedric and Elfriede, who farmed and ranched in Teton County and were long-time 4-H leaders. The scholarship will be awarded to 4-Hers who show dedication to 4-H and a history of volunteering and active involvement in their community. Preference will be given to residents of north central Montana, specifically Teton, Cascade, Chouteau, and Pondera counties. FEB 14	First Security Bank Foundation 4-H Scholarship (1) $500 scholarship open to a graduating senior who participated in 4-H in a First Security Bank service area Applicants must: Be a high school senior or college undergraduate Have a minimum GPA of 2.5 Attend a Montana institute of higher education (trade school, 2-year or 4-year programs acceptable) Live in or have participated in 4-H in a county within a First Security Bank service area. FEB 14	Douglas A. & Nancy W. Dear Memorial Scholarship (1) $500 scholarship will assist an individual with an interest or background in the 4-H Horse Project. Purpose: This scholarship was established as a memorial to Doug and Nancy Dear, instrumental contributors to the Montana 4-H Horse Program. The scholarship will assist an individual with an interest or background in the 4-H Horse Project who will be attending a college or university. FEB 14	Bob and Margaret King Memorial 4-H Scholarship (1) $500 scholarship for a graduating senior who has participated in 4-H livestock projects other than horses. Purpose: In 2017, the King family established a scholarship endowment to honor Bob and Margaret King. Both Bob and Margaret were big supporters of 4-H and appreciated the opportunities it gave their children and grandchildren. Bob believed that everyone should have a chance to go to college, and this scholarship helps in representing his belief. FEB 14	TrailWest Leadership Scholarship (2) $1,000 scholarships for a graduating senior or current college student pursuing a career in agricultural business or finance. FEB 14	Carson Christensen Memorial Scholarship (1) $500 scholarship for a Stillwater County 4-H member who has been enrolled in the beef project. Purpose: This scholarship was established in 2014 in memory of Carson Christensen for Stillwater County 4-H members who have been enrolled in the beef project. Preference will be given to those pursuing a career associated with the beef industry. FEB 14	Bud Dawson Livestock Scholarship (2) $500 scholarships available to graduating high school seniors who are in 4-H livestock projects Purpose: Cascade County cattleman Bud Dawson left an estate gift which will include scholarships for youth participating in the 4-H livestock projects. Priority may be given to Cascade and surrounding county applicants. FEB 14	MABA/MGEA Agri-Business 4-H Scholarship (1) $750 scholarship for a former 4-H member (3-year minimum) pursuing a degree in an agricultural field. Purpose: Scholarship will be awarded to a former 4-H member pursuing a degree in an agricultural field. Montana Turkey Growers, a growers’ cooperative that no longer exists, originally provided funds for a small endowment. In 2012, Montana Agricultural Business Association (MABA) and the Montana Grain Elevator Association (MGEA) joined forces to fully fund the scholarship endowment. FEB 14	Mineral County Community Foundation Scholarship MCCF Scholarships are open to students who are seniors or previous graduates of a Mineral County High School. The Mineral County Community Foundation (MCCF) is eager to award scholarships to selected members in Mineral County, Montana. MCCF is looking for senior students (12th-grade), past graduates, and one junior (11th-grade student) high school student who plan to further their education as an undergraduate student in an accredited university, college, junior college, or technical school/institute. Three $500 scholarships will be awarded to high school senior students. One $500 scholarship will be awarded to a Mineral County junior student. One $500 scholarship will be awarded to a past Mineral County high school graduate. Purpose: The Murdochs’ Ranch & Home Supply provides five (5) scholarships of $1,000 each. These scholarships are to be awarded to eligible Montana high school students. Students who can demonstrate a dedication to 4-H and the ideals of Leadership, Responsibility and Integrity should apply. FEB 14	Steer In Trailer Sales 4-H Scholarship (5) $500 scholarships for 4-Hers who have taken the livestock or horse project. Purpose: The Steer In Trailer Sales 4-H Scholarship was established in 2015 to assist five 4-Hers who have taken the livestock or horse project. Applicants from Gallatin, Broadwater, Madison-Jefferson and Park Counties will be given priority for two of the five scholarships. Steer In Trailer Sales, located in Three Forks, Montana, is a large horse, stock, utility, flatbed and cargo trailer dealership that proudly supports Montana 4-Hers. Applicant requirements: Be a high school senior or an undergraduate in an institution of higher education, including vocational, trade or technical schools. FEB 14	Wilcox Family Scholarship (1) $500 scholarship to eligible Montana high school students, involved in 4-H, from Musselshell-Golden Valley or Rosebud-Treasure Counties. Purpose: Through the generosity of the Wilcox Family, the Montana 4-H Foundation has established a scholarship program that will award $500 to eligible Montana high school students from Musselshell-Golden Valley or Rosebud-Treasure Counties, who have demonstrated a dedication to 4-H and to the ideals of Leadership, Responsibility and Integrity. In addition, applicants will be evaluated based on their academic achievement, their service and involvement with 4-H, and their contributions to their community. FEB 14	Montana 4-H Shooting Sports Scholarship (1) $500 scholarship awarded to a current or former 4-H shooting sports project. Purpose: The Montana 4-H Shooting Sports Committee first recognized an outstanding shooting sports member with a college scholarship in 2010. The recipient excels in the shooting sports project, as well as leadership, community service, and ethical behavior. Applicant requirements: Be an incoming college freshman, sophomore, or junior enrolled in any college, university, or technical/trade school Have been enrolled for at least one year in a 4-H shooting sports project. Have shown a willingness to take on leadership roles and have worked with younger 4-H members in any of the shooting sports disciplines. FEB 14	Montana 4-H Foundation Scholarships The Montana 4-H Foundation awards multiple scholarships to graduating high school seniors enrolled in a 4-H program using a single application. The Montana 4-H Foundation supports 4-H initiatives that focus on healthy living, citizenship, leadership, science, engineering, and technology, to name a few.
