MSPOA has two scholarship opportunities:
MSPOA Merit-Based Scholarship
MSPOA awards two scholarships of $1500 each to either a graduating high school senior OR a current college student. The student must have the intention of pursuing a career in LOCAL law enforcement AND have a parent who is a current MSPOA member in good standing AND is employed by a Sheriff’s Office in the state of Montana. The scholarship is merit-based.
MSPOA Scholarship for Children of MSPOA Members
This scholarship is an opportunity for children of MSPOA members.
A parent must be a current MSPOA member in good standing AND be employed by a Sheriff’s Office in the state of Montana.
Five (5) Scholarships of $1000 will be awarded to five separate members’ children. The scholarship recipients will be randomly chosen and are not merit-based. The scholarship funds are for higher education and will be sent directly to the university/college in which the recipient is enrolled.
