Jeannette Rankin was the first U.S. Congresswoman representing Montana and a passionate social and racial justice advocate. Our Tribal Scholar Grants are awarded to individuals attending Tribal Colleges across the country. These unrestricted non-tuition grants are dedicated to women, nonbinary and Two-Spirit students at Tribal Colleges who are:
+ age 25 and older
+ demonstrate financial need
+ pursuing a technical or vocational education, first associate’s degree or a first bachelor’s degree
+ can show proof of enrollment in a Tribal College, Tribal affiliation and Pell/SNAP eligibility
Tribal Scholar Grants are up to $2,500 annually, distributed directly to recipients and are renewable for up to five years.
